In August 2005, legendary OSU football coach—and now Lt. Governor of Ohio—Jim Tressel brought his Buckeyes – including Bobby Carpenter, together for more than just a game plan.
Motivational speaker Rosemarie Rossetti delivered a moving message about facing adversity.
Wide receiver Tyson Gentry echoed a powerful truth:

Tyson Gentry
Former OSU football player who sustained a spinal cord injury during spring practice in April 2006, transforming his life’s trajectory in an instant. Today, Tyson is the founder of New Perspective Foundation, helping families affected by spinal cord injuries nationwide.
Jim Tressel
Former OSU football coach who became Tyson’s steadfast champion both on and off the field. Now Ohio’s 67th Lieutenant Governor, Tressel’s leadership philosophy centers on service to others and has guided countless individuals through life’s toughest challenges.
Rosemarie Rossetti, Ph. D.
Renowned motivational speaker who experienced her own life-changing spinal cord injury in June 1998 when a 3½-ton tree fell on her while bicycle riding.

Former OSU football player, 7-year NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys, Rams, Dolphins, Lions, and Patriots. After retiring from the NFL, Bobby pursued lifelong learning, earning an MBA in Finance & Strategy from Ohio State’s Fisher School of Business. He now co-teaches a Finance class at Fisher College of Business and resides in central Ohio with his wife and four children, prioritizing faith, family, and sports in his life.
